“Our analysis of the lawn care, landscape
and pest control markets illustrates that we can open at least 250 additional
service centers
with extremely high confidence of success,” LESCO President and
Chief Executive Officer Michael DiMino said. “The locations
we opened in 2003 were our first new service centers since 1998,
and their
performance has been very encouraging thus far.”
Opening new service centers gives a greater number of lawn
care, landscape and pest control companies convenient access
to the
products and services
LESCO offers. In some markets, the new LESCO Service Centers
represent expanded coverage, while other areas are being exposed
to the concept
for the first time.
“ Entering new markets and increasing our presence in markets we
already serve allows us to build relationships with new customers every
day,
and those efforts continue to strengthen our role as the industry’s
premier product supplier,” DiMino said.
Each LESCO Service Center maintains a large inventory of fertilizers,
grass seed, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pest control
products, handheld tools, protective clothing and other items.
A full line of power
equipment including mowers, spreaders, sprayers and aerators
is also offered. All service centers are open six days a week
to maximize
convenience
and give customers the flexibility to purchase products when
needed.
